This course provides a comprehensive introduction to electronic devices and foundational analog circuits. Topics include semiconductor physics, diode characteristics and applications, rectifiers, clipping and clamping circuits, Zener regulation, bipolar junction transistor (BJT) operation and DC biasing, and field-effect transistor (JFET/MOSFET) characteristics. The course also introduces operational amplifiers and basic analog integrated circuits, covering ideal op-amp behavior, inverting and non-inverting configurations, summing and differential amplifiers, comparators, and introductory signal-conditioning circuits. Emphasis is placed on device operation, DC analysis, circuit modeling, simulation, and laboratory verification. Prerequisite: EL-100 (2-2-3)
