This course studies environmental management regulations including the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure Rule, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act, Toxic Substances Control Act, and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act. Environmental management related to soil, groundwater and storm water evaluation and permitting with emphasis on hazardous materials (lead, asbestos, polychlorinated biphenyls, mold), air emissions, demolition debris, underground storage tanks and underground injection control will be covered.
