AVT-444 is a specialized flight training course designed for pilots seeking to add a multi-engine rating to their existing pilot certificate. This course focuses on the unique aspects of multi-engine aircraft operations, including engine-out procedures, performance considerations, and advanced flight maneuvers. Students will engage in both ground school and flight training to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to safely operate multi-engine airplanes. Emphasis is placed on understanding the differences between single-engine and multi-engine aircraft, as well as mastering the techniques required for handling asymmetrical thrust situations. Successful completion of this course will prepare students for the FAA Multi-Engine Add-on Practical Test. Prerequisite: AVT-344. Lab fee: $6,000 (1-0-1)
