The Intelligence Community

The course provides an overview of significant intelligence agencies in the United States and globally. It explains how intelligence agencies operate (such as the Directorates of Intelligence and Operations) and address global security threats, the levels and types of intelligence operatives, the role of counter-intelligence, the Intelligence Cycle and the process of turning raw information into finished intelligence, and the levels of intelligence analysis (structured intelligence techniques such as strategic warning, intelligence methodologies, and intelligence briefs). Case studies are used to demonstrate how intelligence products are used in real world situations.
