NORTHEAST ADVANCED TECHNOLOGICAL EDUCATION CENTER (NEATEC) 

Northeast Advanced Technological Education Center (NEATEC),  a NSF-funded ATE Center located at SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Albany, NY. The Center for Nanoscale Science and Technology (CNST) NanoFab, at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST),  and NEATEC are sponsoring internships for your students to take place during the Summer 2022 term at the CNST in Gaithersburg, MD. We will sponsor two students (community college and/or four-year technical colleges) during this term. . The duration of the internships is 14 weeks, and the starting date is May 23rd, 2022. The student must attend the whole period. 

Each student will receive a stipend of $650 per week during the duration of the internship and a one-payment of $500 to cover travel expenses. 

This is a great opportunity for students and recent graduates to enhance their resumes and to learn, in particular, about semiconductors, nanotechnology hands-on activities, and cleanroom tools. The program is designed for students enrolled in engineering or technical fields, such as Electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, semiconductor, nanotechnology, and other related fields. Also, students enrolled in science programs, such as Engineering Science,  physics, and chemistry are welcome to apply. However, special consideration will be given to students with a basic background in semiconductor and nanotechnology fabrication and processes.

Virtual Cyber Career Challenge

Do you have students who need cybersecurity workforce experience?

In the Virtual Cyber Career Challenge, students will gain important workforce experience as they work in teams of three on a small network of machines, which they will configure, operate, protect, and defend. Each week students will meet with their instructor for guidance on how to best manage their network and prepare for a penetration test by a red team.

The Virtual Cyber Career Challenge is designed for community college students who are close to graduation and have completed much of the needed foundational knowledge and skills. It is also a great opportunity for students to earn co-op credits.

At the conclusion of the challenge, students will have additional opportunities to attend a Tech Interview Primer, a Mock Job Fair, and the National Cybersecurity Virtual Career Fair held on September 16.
