Fall 2024 Housing Application!

Innovators Hall

Capitol Technology University provides a residential community that enables all full-time undergraduates and graduate students to experience the University as live-in students outside the classroom. It is a first come basis in correlation without the housing application process Capitol’s residential option comprises 1 multicultural facility.

Innovators Hall houses approximately 220 residential students, one Assistant Director (live-in), and 3-4 Resident Assistants. 

The college offers distinct room types such as 2A (2 per apt), 4A (4 per apt), 5A (5 per apt), 8A (8 per apt). Each apartment includes a combined living, dining, and kitchen area, fully furnished with an electronic range, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, garbage disposal, air conditioning with individual climate control, cable TV, wired and wireless internet access, and 4-6 monthly building events for building a sense of community.

Housing Applications for 24-25 NEW ACCEPTED students to Capitol Technology University IS NOW AVAILABLE. Please DO NOT SUBMIT if you HAVE NOT YET been accepted.

 

The housing license will be emailed to you in the upcoming weeks and will have the updated rates for the 24-25 academic year. The housing application, housing license, and housing application fee and deposit must be paid to guarantee housing.  

 

To apply for university housing:

 

New Students- complete the housing application and submit a $200 room reservation fee to the Business Office.

Returning Students- complete the housing application, and the room reservation fee is $150 to the Business Office.

 

You may contact the Business Office at businessoffice@captechu.edu and 301-369-2319 to make your payment and please specify it is for housing.

 

Individuals with a housing application, signed housing license, and a room reservation paid on file by May 1, 2024, will be guaranteed housing for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025. Applications or payments received after May 1 cannot be guaranteed for Fall housing and may be wait-listed. Please review the Housing License for information about the deposit refund schedule which will be emailed to you at a later date.

Capitol Technology University will be updating its alert system to include an app based format for all alerts, notifications, reporting, and response plans. Please be on the lookout for more information as we unveil the system in August 2022.

Housing Information

Housing at Capitol Technology University is an excellent way to be conveniently close to classes and professors, as well as living and learning with other students just like YOU!

The cost of student housing for the current year is available under the business office page on the portal. A housing room reservation fee of $150 is due at the time of the student’s application as well as a $50 security deposit. The Business Office collects housing fees at the beginning of each academic semester during registration.

If space is available, a student may apply for on-campus housing after the semester begins. In such a case, the cost will be prorated.

Housing Eligibility

 

All degree-seeking continuing and new undergraduate students registered for 12 credits or more are eligible to live in the residence facilities.

 

Capitol Technology University subscribes to a guaranteed housing policy for those new students who meet the May 1 deadline and for those returning students who meet the April 1 deadline.
 
There are no accommodations for families.
Single-sex housing is enforced.
 
Accommodations are made in accordance with federal, state and county law for students with disabilities.
