Introducton & Accessing the Job Board

Capitol Technology University/Symplicity Job Board platform equips students with all necessary job-searching information in one place, which can be accessed conveniently on their mobile devices. In addition to searching and applying to postings, students can leverage the dashboard view to access a quick overview of important updates tailored to their specific needs – and even view announcements explicitly targeted based on their interests, experience and career goals

Students and alumni have inactive pre-populated accounts already created by the University. Accessing your account is easy, just click on https://captechu-csm.symplicity.com/. Click the button for "Student/Alumni" and then "Forgot Password". Your user name is the beginning of your CapTechU email address (i.e.jdoe@captechu.edu would be jdoe).Once you read and agree to the "Policy Statement", you will be directed to your email account where you will receive and email to reset your password. After you login, you will need to finish setting up your account. 

Once you are in the system you should complete your profile. It is like an online portfolio which you can share with employers so that they will be able to find you directly. The event tab allows you to see upcoming events, you can see what companies will be at the job fair you can also RVSP to any active workshops or events. Career Advice gives students tips on the job market or for other business related things.  You can also, conduct an individual job search using criteria specific to you and your career. Simplicity is updated daily with employers and opportunities and is accessible 24 hours a day.

Additionally, you can upload your documents (resumes, cover letters, and transcripts) that you can share with employers by selecting the opt-in for the Resume Book.

Please be aware that we are seeing a rise in fraudulent employer postings. We do our best to vet each employer - however, some may make it through our process. Scammers are taking advantage of students and it’s important to know if the job/internship position is real. Things like spelling errors, incorrect company’s emails or requests for money are huge red flags. If you ever have a question whether is real please email careers@captechu,edu to report the employer.
